About Us
Our Daily Bread Ministry is an outreach ministry started by St. Matthews Church in Charlotte dedicated to helping those less fortunate or needing daily food support.
We pick up baked goods each day at Publix, located at the corner of Weddington and Old Monroe Roads in Indian Trail, NC. We then deliver to designated charities.
Publix provides baked goods 365 days per year. Our Daily Bread delivers approximately 1,500 pounds of baked goods per month to the charities below. We pick up twice on the evenings of Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas because the store is closed on these days.
Charities
A few of the charities we donate baked goods to on a regular basis include: Food for Friends and Common Heart (food pantries in Indian Trail), ARS Veterans Group, and the Thomasboro Academy.
Volunteer Opportunities
Currently, we do not need any additional volunteers for this ministry.
